At FG Restaurant & Bar, centrally placed on Bryggen in Bergen, we are ready to host your Christmas party. Come to a table laid and waiting, and enjoy an evening of good food and drink in the very heart of the buildings on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

The 2026 Christmas menu
The kitchen builds the Christmas menu on classic Norwegian foundations, using local produce. You choose the number of courses to suit the length of your evening — 3, 4 or 5. The menu is the same whether you are seated in the main restaurant or in your own function room, and we provide vegetarian dishes and adapt for allergies. Just let us know when you book.

How you can be seated
The Christmas party is held at FG Restaurant & Bar — a modern brasserie in the historic Finnegården building on Bryggen. There are two ways to be seated.
Your own function room — for larger groups
The function rooms hold up to 80 guests, and the room is yours alone for the whole evening. No other tables, no other parties. Here we take enquiries Monday to Saturday throughout the season, so you have more freedom to choose your date.
A table in the main restaurant — for smaller parties
For parties of 2–70, we lay your table in the main restaurant alongside the other Christmas party guests. The main restaurant is open for Christmas parties on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Corporate Christmas parties
We host a great many company Christmas parties every November and December, and we know what it takes. You get one point of contact from the planning stage to the last dessert, a fixed price per guest, and invoicing to the company can be arranged in advance.
For larger groups we set aside a private function room, and there we take bookings Monday to Saturday — not just at weekends. We can also arrange a welcome drink in the bar, a set-up for speeches and music, and agree when the kitchen serves each course.
Fridays and Saturdays in the season fill up first. Get in touch early if you have a particular date in mind.

We don't serve a buffet. The Christmas menu is offered as three, four or five courses, served at the table, so that everyone enjoys the same experience regardless of group size.

Yes. Our function rooms can be reserved for private events of up to 80 guests, giving you the run of the evening.
Fridays and Saturdays fill up first. We recommend booking before October if you have a particular date in mind. For larger groups, weekdays from Monday to Wednesday remain available for longer.
